Telkom uncapped is a lie

Telkom advertises their uncapped packages using terms like 'uncapped' and 'unlimited' and encourages customers to 'stream movies and music'. I logged four faults with Telkom over the course of a few days when my linespeed dropped to 0,2 mbps (50 times slower than the 10 mbps that I pay for). Each fault was closed almost immediately without any feedback. On the fourth follow-up call, Telkom confirmed that the line had been throttled to an essentially unsuable speed, due to me exceeding what they regard as fair use of for e.g. Netflix and related movie streaming facilities. I lost further money when renting movies online that I could then not access. No warning. No indicators that they regard the usage as high and I'm at risk of not being able to continue using the internet. No facilities with which 'uncapped' usage can be tracked to avoid this situation. Is on par with my general experience with Telkom, but disappointing nonetheless. Currently submitting complaints to the press and looking for an alternative service provider.
