Telkom to sort out the mess they created.

Quite a few years ago I requested Telkom to cancel my physical telephone line and associated account, account number ***. They then wanted to know whether I wanted to keep my email address @telkomsa.net. I confirmed this. After about a week I suddenly no longer could access said email address and I contacted their helpdesk in this regard. However, Telkom was not able to resolve the issue, and I then informed them to cancel everything - even whilst Telkom was still owning me more than R300 on the mentioned account. I had to go into the trouble informing everybody that my email address had to change. After about a month or so I discovered they were still billing me, and I phoned them again. They again tried to resolve the issue of me not being able to access the email address, to no avail, after which I repeated that they should rather close the account and cancel everything. About a year ago I discovered Telkom still had not sorted out this mess, and after being unable to solve this telephonically I wrote and posted a physical letter to Telkom telling them that I refuse to pay for services they are unable to deliver and that they have to solve this now for once and for all. Apparently they still have not done this, as yesterday, after requesting upgrades on two of my children's mobile accounts, I and my children received SMSs that they are unable to fulfill my order as my account is in arrears. As all my mobile accounts are automatically debited monthly from mu cheque account, I can only guess Telkom this has not solved the mess they created. So herewith two things to take note: 1. I will continue to refuse to pay for services Telkom was not able to deliver, and 2. If Telkom still wants my mobile business and don't want a defamation case on them, they better sort out the mess they created before the end of this week and have my upgrade order fulfilled. My ID number is ***
