Telkom throttles ports

I logged a fault on their website with FAULT Ref No: 193CTK030416
This is 3rd call i log of this nature and every time the fault just gets closed with NO RESOLUTION to my problem.

I have a 10Mb/s Do Broadband line and have been using it with no issues for 2 years. My average speed on the line has always been around 9.8Mb/s Down and 940Kb/s Up. Exactly what i would expect and have been paying for.

Last week over Easter my line suddenly dropped. After investigation the Modem is syncing at 10Mb/s but the port has been throttled to 6Mb/s. This is unacceptable.

I need my speed back to what it was. Nothing changed on my side. I am being throttled FOR NO REASON. Noise levels on the line are low and Jitter is within acceptable range around 25ms.

When I spoke to a call center guy, He told me they implemented a new system that automatically throttle my port. This is unacceptable. Especially as there is no reason and i have proof that i have always been running at 9.8Mb/s.

To me it is theft if you make someone pay for a 10Mb/s line but you throttle him to run at 6Mb/s it is clearly throttle @ port level as the modem performs perfectly within the throttled range. FIX IT
