Telkom throttled us and told us they didn't.

For the past 5 days we've noticed that our internet speed was terrible. We were getting speeds of 0.3mbps download speed. We have a 10mb uncapped ADSL line which should get 8.7mb download speed average. So we called Telkom and reported a suspected fault and asked had we been throttled. Fault reference no 455CRK300515 date Tuesday 29 December. We ASKED if we'd been throttled and were told we had not. Response time was supposed to be 48 hours and we had no response. It took me 30 minutes to download a 6mb file sent by my client which was on deadline. This morning our internet is fine again and we are getting speeds of 8.75mb. If we were throttled why were we not told? We are not stupid. I have my own business, my son schools online and we use a lot of data which is why we have this uncapped package. I want a credit and Telkom must NEVER do this to our account again. We pay a lot to Telkom in total each month.
