Telkom threats

In 2017 I was convinced by Telkom sales man at the corner of the street to take a pre paid data contract with Telkom and they came to install the device where I stayed but it never worked and the people who installed it couldn't even explain to me how to activate it. Since it's a pre paid I never bother because I didn't need to use data then. Last year in 2020 I received a phone call from the lawyers demanding an Amount of R13782 I apparently owe telkom. I demanded a statement that shows what data I used from them and they promised to ask telkom to email me the statement and they never did upto date. Now I am again receiving sms's of the lawyers from Telkom demanding the same amount of 13782.
