Telkom threatens legal action on a line not working for close to a year
My phone line has not been in service since April 2018, I was informed that there had been cable theft and the matter was been looked into and a technician would come through, to no avail. After numerous calls, in June I was informed that my line had been suspended on the 5th of May 2018. I was given numerous fault references but no follow ups, I would get different responses with each query, on the 29/11/18, after speaking to a lady called Lebo , who logged claim number ********** 1, the line was reconnected on the same day and then disconnected on the 10th of December, then reconnected again, it was reconnected again on the 12/12/18 and then disconnected that evening. I was then told that it was escalated to the credit manager, and couldn't be escalated any further, I have even been to the service office in Mafikeng, I was then told my line was cancelled and deposit forfeited, but my fault reference was still pending as they had a backlog ,now I am receiving calls from lawyers that telkom has handed me over, but to my surprise when I called Telkom I am being informed 1. My dispute is still open it hasn't been resolved 2. The dispute that was logged was incorrectly logged 3. I had a fault reference ********** which was closed, but surprisingly my line was suspended on the 5th of May, a technician never came to check the lines, I was never informed, and then today I being told that the initial dispute was incorrectly logged( go figure). All this I was told by a someone called Zoliswa as I held for over an hour to speak to her supervisor named Sicelo. Telkom needs to take responsibility and stop putting their employees in situations where they end up saying things that do not make sense. My matter has been escalated again ********** 1, so many months later she also gave me email **********
