Telkom, this is the pits

Used Telkom as Service Provider for a few months, then decided to go over to Afrihost, and ask Telkom to cancel them as my Service Provider, but keeping the ADSL line. It took eighteen months for them to get that, resulting in me still paying for data with them as well. AT LAST, last month after another complaint from my side, they could do it!!! (Happiness!!!) They even phoned me to tell me that they went back into my account history, and they could see that I am not using their data, so they are crediting my account with R2400. I thought Telkom came to the party, at last!!! But then the nightmare started. I did not receive an invoice last month, not knowing what the correct amount was, I paid R700 into their account, Thinking by myself that I can rectify the account this month as there is an amount of R2400 in advance now, so as soon as I receive the invoice, I will know where I stand.

Big mistake!!! They suspended my line, as I've paid R202 short!!! Bearing in mind that Telkom takes its time to rectify their mistakes, I decided to pay this R202 as well just to get the line active again.

Everything went well and I was still using Afriihost, waiting for the next invoice, which will reflect my R2400 credit. Last week my line was suspended again. Without any notice. I logged a fault, and received a call yesterday from a gentleman ( ********** 979) who apologised and acknowledge it was their fault, and that the line will be connected within three hours. Its Satuday afternoon now, I am still without my Internet and is using my cellphone as hotspot.

Phoned them this morning. Was referred from the technical department to the accounts department then to the sales department and back to the accounts department and then was told that the line is active according to them and that I must speak to the technical apartment. No success. Everybody is waiting for somebody so nobody is doing anything.

The worst part was while speaking to NANDI I could distictively hear how she cut me of, do not listen to what I am saying, and then come back on the line with the same answer. I said hello, hello, and nobody speak, so I know they were not on the line. This is the pits. why do they have people working in call centres that is seamingly not doing their job?

When she came back on the line she referred me back to the sales department ( I was actually commenting on this answer which was her previous answer when she cut me off) I just don't know how to handle this anymore. It seems to me, they are teached to give one specific answer to everybody: This is not this department, I put you through please use option number 2.

Telkom, can u respond? Or are you going to ask me to contact your one department after the other again?

please bear in mind that you do not even have offies here, so I can't go in to an office even.
