Telkom - Think Again

<p>Regrettably I’ve been with Telkom for just over a year now and once again they’ve shown why they are the “cheapest” telecommunication service provider in SA.</p> <p>My initial contract with Telkom Mobile started off on a bad note after never having any signal. My calls would constantly be cut and sometimes even be switched to a random line with a random individual. After going to two Telkom stores (which normally takes 45 mins of your time), they then advised me to roam with another provider, which at least eliminated the switch between lines, but wasn’t even close to the quality of signal I had on my previous contract. The sad part is that you actually get use to the fact that every second phone call is a “dropped call” and that you actually pay Telkom a monthly premium for that.</p> <p>I then app**** for a Telkom Land Line (only because apparently Vodacom and MTN don’t offer this service) which nobody came back to. To inquire on the delay I had to call in once again, wait 35 mins (once again), be redirected to 5 different people (once again) only to find out that the application was cancelled due to high cable theft in the area. Nobody informed me of this and they most definitively weren't planning to.</p> <p>I strongly advise anybody considering Telkom – To think again. You’ll forget a higher instalment with another provider, but the lack of service/signal/professionalism with Telkom remains.</p>
