Telkom: Thieving tfrom lone parent household & crippling chronically ill work-from-home Mother of teen, negatively impacting his studies as well!

Dear @TelkomZA & fellow Mzantsi folk,

If you were in my shoes would this be just, & acceptable in terms of the consumer rights?

SUMMARY: So, long story story, @TelkomSA, please may I get the services I pay for, may I get equivalent concessions towards my loss of INCOME incurred as a direct result of the errors, and lack of delivery of services in agreement?

The National Consumer Commission & ICASA, why has there been neither competition nor improvement in Telkom's service delivery?

BACKGROUND: I've recently taken on a sideways move with has a prerequisite of 10 MPS (I installed this Nov.2017 in lieu of the job application pilot programme was due to have posts available early 2018) just to reduce the 4 hour travel expense and time each day that I used to incure, and as being dependent to Telkom connectivity which is very bad most of the time, this new job has become highly threatened now. This threat is more real now that my supposed 10MPS which is in a 40MPS area has never consistently yielded even a 6MPS for a consistent 2-5 hours of a regular business day. This begs the question, why am I expected the full amount of monthly billing in such an instance?

I must say, I am not only pained, emotionally drained, out of pocket literally, but disappointed at Telkom. Whilst we live in our part of our rather humble home in Atlantis, peri-urban Cape Town, that is not only ravaged by unemployment as unemployment riddles Mzantsi, but also rich with semi & s****ed labour force who are trying to make it either as employees/as entrepreneurs. Opportunities to either work from home, and or start, if not pursue SME connectivity with potential markets, or even studies and research, not having viable fixed line competitor whilst Telkom service level are dismal and is currently breaking the backs of the ordinary South African.

Telkom has not only costed me, also threatened my new job, and those other hard working person's livelihood as I've already gone for unpaid durations due to follow-up to resolve this matter leading up to just before this post and just after starting due to incorrect billing errors. All this has thus far resulted in my ASDL line being closed despite payment and Telkom acknowledging receipt, being called by a debt collector weeks after payment, then delayed by on boarding training, and subjected to compulsory time off work during training periods which could have been better utalised, and or not even forced to take sometimes unfortunately become unpaid time-off.

Now I seek recourse on this matter with this ICT giant that will have either none customercentric service, if not have business units that operate as silo's thus resulting in billing department ertors due to mot sharing ICT interface of information with sales department for an improved customer experience and service delivery toward its paying end-users. Telkom has flexed its muscles towards defenseless citizens as we are left to little to no options most of the time but stick with Telkom as a service provider.

(Latency fault logged have either been closed without testing with me as paying end user - ref.# 151CWK150318 . logged 12:50 Thur.15 Mar.2018, nor has it been successfully resolved since a follow up of the 1st, not it's been since Fri.noon 16 Mar.2018 - ref.# 124CWK160318)
