Telkom Tech Refusing to fix a fault
On the 03 May 2019, our line ********** 895 stop working (line went dead) and a fault was logged with Telkom call centre (***). Our other lines ( ********** 712 & ********** 713) were working. On the 06 May 2019, we logged a new fault report as the problem was not resolved (***). We then learnt that all calls for our line ********** 895 were going to another business next door to us. At the same time we learnt that our other two lines are down ( ********** 712 & ********** 713), a fault was reported for this two lines as well (*** & 99CNZ070519). On the 07 May 2019 at 13h41, a tech by the name of Rynet Moloi (cell: ********** 196) from openserv came to our business and told our manager Ashwin Dundraj; “it is too late, I would not be able to look at the problem”. He was then told by our manager that he must look at the problem and were our switchboard unit was. Upon checking the points, Mr Moloi said that he could only get one dialling tone coming through to the connect point and that he can’t fix the problem due to not knowing which line is which. He then said we must get a private party to look at the problem on our side. He refused to look as to why there isn’t any dialling tones on the three numbers with the fault reports. He also stated that all this happened due to the floods but he will not be able to resolve as it is difficult to trace the numbers from the main DB. We are therefore lodging a formal complaint against your employee, Mr Raynet Moloi, due to refusing to carry out reasonable instructions in resolving our Telkom lines.
