Telkom takes two weeks (and counting) to fix ADSL line

I've reported a fault with my ADSL line to Telkom. Initially someone showed up unannounced to fix the line. It appeared to work properly for a day after which it broke down completely.

I've now been without a working ADSL line for nearly two weeks. I'm working from home and in addition to being a huge inconvenience to not get a service that I'm paying for, it is also turning out to be a huge loss of income due to the fact that I rely heavily on an internet connection to run a business.

Hi Keagan,
Thank you for your prompt response and action to address my concern. My fault has been fixed.
However, it is a pity that the Telkom fault reporting infrastructure is lacking in their communication and that additional channels like hellopeter are necessary to get service, especially for a telecommunications company.
Thank you for addressing and resolving my complaint. Unfortunately, I have subsequently cancelled my ADSL service in exchange for fibre.
Regards,
FK
