Telkom Supplier MOBILE TALK

Today my wife was phoned by Mobile Talk who refer to themselves as Telkom. They tried to **** us by offering us a package which included 2 sim cards and various amounts of data on each card. Fact is the sales operator Meryl or Merle said that the package included limitless or uncapped data. I queried this and was told by her manager in no uncertain terms that the package included uncapped or limitless data as detailed in the Telkom freeme package, but instead of paying R1005 I would only pay a fraction of that viz. R238. They said after the application was filled in they would forward me an SMS with the details. Well, what a shock when the SMS with link arrived! None of the packages included uncapped data. So we phoned the customer care center and 'cancelled' the application. The customer care center official confirmed that the deal never included uncapped data. I asked him why his sales force were lying where he indicated that he did not know as he was in customer services. My query is lodged with Telkom as the deal goes through them and they should ban this company from supplying them. This is unacceptable, as when you google this company the same hello peter complaints come through. Telkom center staff are aware of this. Obviously the less literate are being preyed on. Telkom, please do something about this. I have recorded the entire conversation with the sales agent and her manager. My mobile talk order number was ***7.
