Telkom Summons Threat from P&P Attorneys

I have a current Telkom account and started receiving SMS messages from P&P attorneys threatening to proceed with summons. I have my latest Telkom invoices showing a current account however P&P attorneys advise that my account has been handed over for non-payment since January 2019. If this was the case, why am I only being notified now? Why has Telkom never communicated this to me? Why can't P&P attorney produce a bill with a balance. I don't appreciate threats of this nature and if this is how Telkom treats customers, I would much rather cancel my redundant landline (which I've been keeping for nostalgic reasons) to avoid dealing with nonsense like this. If this is not resolved soon, I will have no choice but to cancel.
