Telkom stores offline since Friday - unable to do simswaps
Its a pity the review option doesn't allow for zero or minus 5 stars...
Dear Telkom,
Once again your pathetic service delivery, *********** rude staff and inadequate, failing network systems being offline at crucial times has led to severe frustrations and financial losses for me as a paying client!
On Friday night at around 8pm I was pickpocketed in a Cape Town supermarket and two handsets with sim cards ******.
Tried to blacklist the devices and suspend sim cards only to discover your systems are offline...
Sat morning went to THREE separate Telkom stores to do sim swaps unsuccessfully. Systems Offline. Sat afternoon I was able to blacklist the devices and suspend the simcards but still no sim swaps possible. Sat evening went back to waterfront store with rude staff barking at me to call 187 to have sim cards unsuspended and come back Sun morning to do sim swaps. Tried to dial 187 (Discovered its for use of staff members with merchant numbers only!) Sun morning managed to get through to 180 after several attempts while holding on for over half an hour each time from another service providers paying network. Sim cards unsuspended over the phone and told by the service agent to go back to Waterfront and do Sim swaps (no mention they still offline) Sun afternoon - stores offline Sun evening - still offline... Monday morning suffering from Telkom bad service fatigue and unable to receive calls from potential tenants responding to ads for rental properties since Friday night... Loss of revenue, cost of calls to Telkom call centre and unable to use contract airtime/data will be claimed. Expecting a response from Telkom to this review which will be posted on all Social Media channels! Louw Roets
