TELKOM: *****ING MONEY FROM CUSTOMERS
Logged a call on 15 Jan 2020, 15cnk150120, did not have landline and adsl services. telkom restored the line on 01 Feb 2020. Only had about a week of service and then nothing again, decided to cancel, phoned in, after the 15 min wait, lodged a cancellation that should be process after 1 calendar month. Fair enough we wait, I also cancelled another wireless prepaid number i had, after being told that I wont be able to cancel that one, I was eventually helped after the run around for a year, today I called to see if that one is cancelled, lo and behold after a calendar months notice its not cancelled, first I was told I didnt cancel it using the correct department, then I was told I can cancel it at any department, then i was told the system is slow, thats why it wasnt cancelled, then i was told to hold he will lodge a dispute, he then said something under his breath in zulu, cos clearly he was getting frustrated with me as i was demanding to know why or when it will be cancelled, i asked him to say what he said in zulu in english so that i may be afforded the right to respond, he denied saying anything in zulu, which would be the sensible thing to do in his part. Then he told me the refund for my other number will be appearing in my invoice this month, i pointed out i dont want the telkom debit order to be fulfilled this month, he said he cannot do that, i said but he is billings, he said yes but he doesnt have the authority to do that. i asked to speak to the person who does, he says no one does... thats amazing because clearly the person who has the authority to set up a debit order would have the authority to cancel it. but thats not how Telkom operates apparently, they just in the business of procuring your cash and not refunding it or stopping the cash flow (just great), he says if they debit my acc i must lodge a dispute, i gave him the dispute number for my january acc which still hasnt been refunded and asked how long til then one reflects, he said something under his breath in zulu, "hlupa" which i understand loosely translated means im messing around, or this is annoying, well i pointed out yes it is annoying, especially for me the customer. he then hung up. if you are reading this, well done on getting to the end of the story and finding out i got nowhere. i f****ng hate TELKOM.
