Telkom Special unavailable through Vuma, because Telkom said so

I have had issues with Telkom for quite a few years with the same issue over and over. I was not able to log this review on hello peter as my mother worked at Telkom until recently. We were on ADSL for many years, we decided to upgrade from our 4Mbps line to 20Mbps due to a special.

Struggling for a Year with bad speeds, they downgraded us to a 10Mbps and then eventually back to 4Mbps. Still with many issues. When Telkom moved over to the LTE routers because of the copper situation. This was not much better as they keep you on the line speed that you had on ADSL.

This is where it gets interesting, Telkom has a Fiber special on their website for 20 Mbps R699 Uncapped online. They now advised that this special unavailable to us as we only have Vuma Fiber in our area but not Openserve. Funny how on Telkom's website you can get Fiber through Vuma but not in this case. You would think that Telkom would try and accommodate everyone to get some sales. Unfortunately not.

I think other than this reason this explains why Telkom is going down and fast. Why can't you negotiate specials through Vuma? Telkom's deals are expensive on Vuma compared to other ISP's. If you are wondering why I am sticking to Telkom and not moving is due to my current contract, when you upgrade contract you don't have penalties, but hell this is bad service. As usual for Telkom.
