TELKOM South Africa's Worst ISP
In 2020 at the beginning of Lock Down I took out a LTE deal with telkom for R999 a month for uncapped LTE.
Fast forward to 2022 March my contract was completed.
I then just continued using the service up until June/July when I moved to a area where there was frogfoot fibre.
I then took out fibre package which included a xbox series S with a 3 month subscription to gamepass (there was no gamepass).
Never could I have imagined that this was just the beginning of the horror that would start to unfold.
I had been advised by the Sales team that as soon as the fibre was installed that my LTE subscription would be canceled in the new month and I would not be left with two payments at the end of the month.
2 months pass and my fibre was still not working logged countless tickets with reference numbers that were closed without checking with me if my internet was working.
Eventually it started to work yet I was still being debited for fibre and LTE.
In October 2022 I was debited R1898.00 in the middle of the month and then tried to debit me the same amount at the end of October for the same amount which I canceled.
They the suspended my LTE account due to collections( remember I said it was a month to month contract and only pay for the month I will use)
I have been cut off from both Fibre and LTE due to collections, to make things worse telkom is refusing to cancel my LTE and wants me to pay the balance and the Fibre.
I have complained but this ISP is not helping me.
30mbps that lags and I cannot even stream on two devices without it buffering.
Is there anyone that can help me cancel all of this as technically speaking they owe me R898 for the payments made to the LTE . I have recordings of the telkom team telling me that with supporting documents.
There is more to the story, but only so much to write
