TELKOM SIM SWAP

I have a problem with my Telkom sim card which stopped working and i don't know why, when i call their customer care so that i can do a sim swap, i am told to go to a telkom outlet which is more than 500km from where i am staying and i dont even have money to travel that far, and they say there's no other means which i can use to do a sim swap to save me money which i don't even have.

Please assist
