Telkom SIM only cancellation penalty: Corporate ****gery

I took a Telkom sim only contract in Dec'19 and ever since then the coverage as been nothing but bad and I have never enjoyed the service at all. I have recently contacted their call center for cancellation reasons and I was told of an R 850 penalty irregardless of the fact that I have been paying them for absolutely nothing for the past 7+ months. This is just ridiculous and a classic example of corporate ****gery. If you are reading this for decision making purposes then be warned of this quick buck hungry organisation.
