Telkom should be replaced
Telkom’s plan is to migrate its clients to newer interfaces. However, this is not always done in transparency, as this agenda is actioned for through “********* means”. I was informed that out of my entire area sharing the same exchange, that only my copper cable was ****** and no one else’s on my block or adjacent block (50+ homes) was affected. I was informed that i will be migrated to other packages due to Telkom refusing to replace copper cables that were allegedly ******. The package prices keep rising and service is undelivered, yet billed for month in and month out.
This monopoly/oligopoly needs to be disempowered. It would be fantastic if other MNE’s could enter the market to compete. I am just one person saying this, but imagine if 20 million South Africans and or Africans said the same thing. I’m sure it would be loud enough for maybe Telkom to take note of. The companies that exist in the market bounce of Telkom’s infrastructure, so just when you think you with a different service provide, Telkom is at the end of the line collecting their loot. Nothing wrong with business, as long as it is ethical, serves the patron and seeks to improve livelihoods of many financially challenges South Africans.
