Telkom shop don't carry telephones....

I went into a Telkom shop looking for a normal corded phone to replace my wireless phone which does not work with loadshedding. They referred me to Incredible Connection because they don't carry stocks. How can a telephone shop not carry telephone equipment? Very dissapointing....
