Telkom Shackles

1. I had ADSL and a landline at my previous house. 2. OpenServe installed fibre to the area so I switched over to it, while cancelling my landline/ADSL. This was in April/March. 3. I received two notifications with reference numbers, implying that the landline account would be closed. 4. An account arrived in May. 5. An account arrived in June. 6. An account arrived in July. 7. All the above accounts had escalating totals because somebody at Telkom hasn't reached 'C is for Cancel' in their reading book. 8. I moved house in August. (Urgent issue, unavoidable.) 9. Tried to convince new buyer of my house to take over fibre. He hadn't a clue what I was talking about. 10. Called Telkom to ask why no cancellation. "Our systems are down". (Really? A telecommunications company that can't communicate is like a shop that can't sell. Heading for the drain.) 11. Go to Telkom outlet at mall. Can't help me because hardware issues. They're using paper to log problems. 12. Get told I can't get ADSL at my new house because the old bill is outstanding . 13. You don't say? Rocket science! Oh my god! Stop sending me bills for an account I cancelled! It's easy. 14. Would the most intelligent person at Telkom please pick up the phone and take properly to me? 15. Alexander Graham Bell must be revolving in his coffin because his invention has turned on itself and started devouring its own tail.
