Telkom services is IMPOSSIBLE to cancel

I cancelled our landline with 30 days notice via the Telkom website to avoid penalty charges. That was more than 32 days ago. When I queried why it is not cancelled now, 32 days later, I get an automated reply asking a reference number when no reference number was issued or emailed to me on their website.
