I have app**** on 9 November 2018 for a Fibre 10mb line at my primary residential house (Ref# ********** ). I have followed up three times the past two weeks without any success or any results. Therefore I have made the decision to cancel my order with Telkom and decided to do business with a different service provider.
I have just spoken to a call centre consultant (Nondudoza Mbata) at Telkom that advised me that there are no manager available that will be able to speak to me and that she is not allowed to give me the contact details of a manager within Telkom. Please note that I have requested a manager to call me back on Tuesday and that I am still waiting on a manager to call me back. Apparently no Telkom consultant is allowed to give a managers contact details to clients. Is this correct? From a logic perspective this does not make sense to me, because if this is true there are a fundamental business issue with Telkom. Are managers scared of speaking to clients or are they *********** to speak to clients? I would like to believe that senior management at Telkom realise that these people are working with South Africans of all sorts, some highly business orientated people.
I have also now tried to cancel my order with Telkom, she was not even allowed to cancel my order? Unfortunately Telkom’s inefficiencies has already cost me a lot of money and all I wish to do is cancel my order. I am addressing this matter to you as this is effecting all South Africans. I think it is time that we all took hands and turn our SOE’s around as our economy cannot continuing subsidising SOE’s. I would really like to make a difference in South Africa by supporting the SOE’s, but in doing so is experiencing constant bad service and increase in blood pressures, not to mention the costs.
