Telkom service Non Delivery
I have been a customer of Telkom for the past 3-4 years. My most recent subscription was a 10mb adsl line with telephone.
I was recently contacted by Telkom sales and requested to consider changing over to LTE. The sales consultant advised that due cable theft in our area the adsl service will be made redundant. I specified that I required a 10mb line for various reasons. I asked the sales person to double check and confirm if the area had 10mb LTE capability. She assured me it had.
I received the modem Thursday last week and with the help of the call centre set it up.
The adsl line was turned off on by Tuesday 01/10/2019.
The LTE actived. I however have never had any line speed over 5mb. Most of the time I checked line speed was in the region of 2mb.
As I had advised the sales consultant, my wife business is reliant on having a high line speed internet. We are currently relying on our telephones and this has been a costly exercise.
I have spent collectively over 6 hours on the telephone with various call centre.
I received an SMS from Telkom advising I was not contactable. I had however only received one call on my mobile that was from a number I am unfami**** with. This call only rang for less than 10s and I was unable to answer in time.
I am tired of being refered from department to department. It appears Telkom doesnt want to attend to my problem.
"Dear Customer, we acknowledge your request to cancel fault 3******2
on Fixed Voice Product 011******2. We will confirm closure of the ticket once processed.
Ts and Cs apply. Please do not reply to this SMS. Telkom."
That was Speedy service.
Only problem is, 'I DID NOT CANCEL ANY FAULT.'
