TELKOM SERVICE IS APPALLING

I am publishing this review because I have had it with Telkom. In 2023 around April or May I took a contract with Telkom for 2 cellphones. I was told I would be paying R750 a month. Since the very first installment I have been receiving invoices with totally different amounts and besides that Telkom just decides to debit me on random dates that I have not even chosen for my debit date which should be on the 25th of each month. From the beginning of the contract I was using my FNB Silver Cheque Account of which had an overdraft facility. In June Telkom dicided to debit me once again on a random date when there were no funds in my account, however, FNB allowed the debit to go through and my bank account went into a minus. When my salary went in the following month FNB got their money back. I then decided to use my Capitec account for my salary from the month of August and switched the debit order and up until December my Telkom account was up to date, then in the beginning of January Telkom suspends my 2 lines and tells me that the debit order that went of in June has come back as a back payment. I asked myself how this was possible since I paid the bank back for allowing the debit to go through. I contacted the call centre at least 4 - 5 times a week since January trying to get this resolved, every agent I spoke to asked for bank statements of which I have sent and no where on those statements does it show any reversal payment but it does show the debit order going through in June. The agents then started telling me to query it with the bank (FNB) which I did. FNB advised this was not the case, why would they reverse a payment in December that went through on my overdraft in June? I went back to Telkom and have been dealing with a lady by the name of Sinenhlanhla, before this I have dealt with several other agents since I have been calling Telkom at least 3 - 5 times a week. At least 3 - 4 agents have received my bank statements and escalated the query but to date I have not had a satisfactory resolution. The response I received from Sinenhlanhla today is that the collections department stated that Telkom received communication from FNB instructed them to reverse the payment. Guess what, just as I thought, this was a lie. I immediately went to the bank and was assisted by the branch manager who advised me that FNB would never get involved as the contract I have is with Telkom. The lady at FNB also mentioned that many clients have come into the bank with the same issue and she has instructed me to go to the Telkom head office in Centurion. I even went as far as to go into a Telkom store and to my surprise, a lady walked in and was on a call with contact centre and she was in tears, even got sick inside the store because guess what, she had a similar issue. So is this what Telkom is doing to there clients. ******ing us for money and delivering the worst service ever. I have asked for several times for a manager to call me and the one time the agent told me the supervisors on the floor were too busy and could not take my call. The service is ridiculous and I would never recommend anyone to Telkom after the service I have received from them.
