Telkom service

Due to the copper theft problem I have to change my landline to a wifi phone, at no charge.... which is the only good news. The lady I spoke to from the call centre was very friendly but did not ask whether I want a portable telephone or a handset phone. Of course didn't ask the question as I incorrectly assumed it would be a portable unit ....and I am not employed by telkom so I did not think to ask the question. I now have the phone. I was also not advised that you can only have one phone line as it works with a sim card. So now I have a handset telephone which means I can only answer from.one spot in the house. I cant have a phone in my tv room and in my bedroom. So what must I do. Unplug it from the TV room everytime I go to bed and plug it in there. In today's times with the high crime rate and house alarms going off all the time I need to be able to get to my phone as quickly as possible. So my complaint is... Why are telkom staff not trained correctly to ask the right questions when supplying a client with a new phone. And how do I arrange an exchange of the handset phone and get supp**** with a portable phone
