Telkom service

<p>NEVER, NEVER deal with Telkom as the BIG DEAl is NO SERVICE!!</p> <p>I needed to transfer my late father's telephone number into my name and simultaneously to a new premises which, as the crow flies, is 225 meters away from the previous premises in the same gated community. This is now one month later, 4 visits to walk-in at Tygervalley (three visist today only) to find out that another number has been issued, the previous number was not transferred and the new number does not work. I also found out that there is no shared central database within Telkom. If you started at Cape Gate, you cannot continue at Tygervalley as they cannot see the transaction on their system!! 21st century stuff!! And they are in the telecommunication industry!! You do not talk to Telkom when visiting a store, you talk to an individual and the next time you visit and talk to someone new, you need proof of what was discussed, decided and agreed together with the name of the previous individual you spoke to.<br />Never, never ever deal with Telkom if you expect assitance and service...</p>
