Telkom selling a lie

Hi, I have a very bad experience with Telkom regarding their ADSL internet service. In mid-june 2017 I upgraded my adsl from 1meg line to 4 MBPS line. However, since the day of inception the line has been slow reading not more than 0.8 MBPS at any given point. I logged complain and the technicians have been coming to my area to try and diagnose the problem but never came right, however they kept on reporting it as fixed, closing the job cards. I had to make lots of calls to Telkom for more than 40 days and they have been sending different Technicians and they never came right. Eventually one technician told me that the hardware that is in my area is old technology and it needs to be upgraded there is nothing they can do at this point.

With that in mind, prior to joining Telkom, I asked the salesman to search if I have coverage of 4mbps line in my house, he comfirmed that. Now I had to look for alternative service provider.

The problem is that I logged a claim that I need to be refunded the installments over the duration where the line was not working (over 40 days), billing department contacted me and I gave them all the references to show that I have been trying to reach out for help from technical support. They said they will make follow ups and they went quiet for 3 weeks. when I made a call to make follow up on the 'refund', the billing consultant told me that my claim has been rejected because my line has been working... which puzzles me coz I have lots of references where I wanted technicians to sort the problem out. They sold me a lie, charged me for a service that it is impossible for them to deliver. Even by today, I am always told the person who rejected my claim is yet to give me a call to explain why. lastly, no1 in this area is having it easy with Telkom's ADSL services due to old lines that are mulfunctional. PLEASE HELP ME ADDRESS THIS MATTER. They r used to taking people's money without giving them the product we signed up for.
