Telkom Security Questions for New Contracts is an insult

Good day

On 27 June 2017, I went to Telkom store in Nicolway Brynaston to sign a new contract with Telkom for one of their LTE deals. I had all the paperwork and I was assisted immediately as this is a new store and there was noboby in the store. Copies were made of all my document and we then proceeded to some security questions. These questions were absolutely ******* and bore little or no resemblance to my life. I achieved a 60% park which I was told was a failing percentage and I was requested to redo the questions. We then proceeded to redo these questions and the result was also another fail. As a result I was told that I could not apply for any contracts at any Telkom store for a period of three months. These security questions were totally incorrect. How can any business provider rely only on these questions to reject an application. I am a Chartered Accountant and my wife is an attorney, So we can most certainly afford the contract. Fuming, I left the Telkom store and went to the MTN store in the same mall. At MTN, I had no issues and was pre-approved within minutes. I also had to answer some security questions, but these questions I could relate to and answered them correctly. Telkom need to relook at these security questions and cannot base a new application on these security questions solely. Do Telkom not do a proper credit check? The three month exclusion rule is also unreasonable. As a result of Telkom's process, they have lost a new customer and MTN have gained a new customer. At this rate, Telkom will soon be out of business I won't be surprised

Disgusted
