Telkom ************
Good day,
Re: Subscription usage of ***
We saw Homecloud's adverti*****t on facebook for a 10Gig daytime and 10Gig nightserver deal.
We received the router mid April and assumed we signed for the 10Gig deal and once the 10Gigs are used, we won't be able to use the device and accompanying data.
Here is a breakdown of payments:
15 April 2019-28 April 2019=R0.00 01 May 2010-31 May 2019=R2000.00 (payment for April and for May) 01 June 2019-30 June 2019=R1800.00 (payment for month of June) 01 July 2019-31 July 2019=R1800.00 (payment for month of July). NOW REMEMBER, AS BELOW, WE CAPPED OUR DATA ON 02 JULY 2019 AND MID JULY, WHEN THE SYSTEM ADVISED OUR DATA IS FINISHED, WE SWITCHED OFF THE ROUTER AND UNPLUGGED THE DEVICE.
At this stage and on 02 July 2019 we went to Telkom in The Grove and the consultant said, although we took out the 10Gig deal, we were supposed to inform Telkom to cap the data at 10Gig. I MEAN, WHY SIGN FOR 10GIGS AND TELKOM DECIDES THEY WILL UNKNOWINGLY TO THEIR CLIENT CHARGE OUT-OF-BUNDLE RATES?
Nonetheless the consultant capped our data and informed us to go to Telkom Menlyn to query the charges. Which we did.
Now how come if we capped our data 02 July 2019 and only used until 15 July 2019, when we switched off the router and unplugged the device, are we charged R1800.0p again and not the R355 we signed for initially.
Please rectify and advise soonest? We will reverse the debit and deposit our agreed upon contract fee of R355.00
