I wonder if anyone else has had this experience? In 2015 I changed from a 4mg ADSL line to a 10mg line. The Telkom representative stood in my lounge and offered me some gifts as he described them because I had made the change to a supposedly faster internet. (That's another story!) The gifts were some Sim cards and a portable wifi device. Well, I threw the sim cards away as I already had mobile accounts with another provider. A month ago I received Telkom's new billing account and in the new layout I saw mobile phone numbers with invoiced amounts next to them. On enquiry I was told that these were contracts that I had with Telkom from 2015. Never before had these numbers appeared on my previous accounts! Telkom have been charging me R320 for the last 3 years and that amounts to R10,000!!!!!! The rep from Telkom offered them as gifts not CONTRACTS! Can this really be legal?? I think that I have been ****med. Anyone else had this experience??
