Telkom Sales Staff Unable to Confirm Terms and Conditions of Fibre Deal Advertised
I am unable to obtain written confirmation from Telkom Sales staff regarding the terms and conditions of Telkom's January Big Deal promotion for 10Mbps Uncapped Fibre at R399/month.
I called the 10213 Telkom Sales line to enquire if the internet speed on this deal is throttled during peak times (between 6pm to 11pm) or not. I was told it is not throttled. When I asked for written confirmation of this, I was told to go into a Telkom Sales branch to request this because the call centre is unable to send e-mails.
I took the trouble to go into a Telkom Sales branch to enquire about this but the consultant seemed unsure whether the internet speed is throttled or not on this deal.
I then e-mailed a sales consultant at the Sales branch asking the same question, but the consultant simply rep**** to my e-mail with a link to the standard terms and conditions - I was not able to find the answer to my query.
Why does Telkom advertise deals if their sales staff are inadequately trained to respond to customer queries?
