Telkom SA, billing is *******

Telkom SA are *****es, my account with them is up to date, when I took a contract they said, I am on month to month when I request to cancel the contract I am told that am on 36 months contract and when I request the recording of the conversation with sales person, I now need to get court order to obtain it, where I was told that I will get it anytime I request it. How do I deal with this situation?
