Telkom's customer service at a new all-time low!!!

I'm absolutely speechless and at my wits-end with Telkom Customer Services. I have been calling every day for over 2 weeks now due to my internet services not working at all. The modem is brand new – due to the older one kicking the bucket 2 weeks before the end of internet surfing for me at home – so could not be this problem. To which I’d like to add: I immediately just went to the Telkom store, bought a new modem – another 2 hours loss of my life of course (queues extremely long with only 2 people serving 50 customers – with complaints). Now back to the fault at hand: put the modem on, no connection to internet (ADSL, Power and WLAN lights steady and ready to go of course). After the first week of calling continuously, the representative at that stage decided that: Yes, my call is urgent and highlighted this to the technicians. After two weeks, finally got a sms to say they are coming to inspect the line. Waited the whole day, because as you know the sms states that a technician will be out between the hours of 7am and 4:30pm, not at all inconvenient. Eventually got a call from said technician late afternoon – who asked me if the internet light goes on, to which I rep****, no. Also asked if my phone line is working, which of course it was. So that said – he informs me that the problem is a card at the exchange which packed up and needed to be changed. This was apparently reported to Telkom the previous week already, but nothing had been done. Then as I was away the weekend, I received a call from Customer Services asking me whether my query was resolved. I told the lady on the phone, that due to the fact that I’m not at home (which incidentally I also told the representative when I confirmed the conversation with the technician 2 days prior) over the weekend and therefore can neither confirm nor deny that the problem is resolved. Well not surprisingly, returning on the Monday, NO SERVICE STILL!! That in itself will drive most people insane, but I decide that something like this cannot spoil your whole day and decide to just calmly call the fault line and report that in fact there is still no service…… What really got me, was when the representative told me very calmly that there is no fault on the line – the previous fault has been marked as RESOLVED! Telkom, my questions in this long review are: 1. How long does it take to replace a card at the exchange? 2. Are you a telecommunications company, because if so, the communication part is gone? 3. Would you pay a bill if there’s absolutely no service? 4. Are you going to fix the line eventually in normal time? Or will it take another 6 months? 5. Could you please recommend an internet service provider – as I’m sure the company employees don’t even use your services?

I've still not had any contact, how long does it take to either pick up the phone or send an email? Or alternatively can you not change a card that's packed up at the exchange?
