Telkom robbing clients with poor service delivery

Two complains about Telkom no 1 Had an I-phone 7contract with Telkom

The I-phone was faulty, I received the phone on the 10th of March 2017 and on the 17th of March 2017 it was already not working. I reported the matter over the phone and they said I can go to any branch. I went to the Kolonade branch in Pretoria North where they sent me to Menlyn Branch. I was very frustrated that I have to go up and down while I paid a lot of money for a phone so I went to menlyn branch and submitted the phone on 24 March 2017. they took the phone and said they were gonna come back to me but to my suprise they did not call me until the 30th of March 2017 so on the 31st I decided to cancel because of the poor service that I was receiving while the debit order went through for a phone that I did not even have. I realized it was not worth it to have contracts with them so I canceled all my contracts

The payments for the I-phone are as follows: R 660 on the 4th of March before they deliver the contract and R 901 on the 15th of April while I did not even have the phone. I sent them an e-mail on and told them that the debit order was was the first and last debit orders as I have cancelled the contract but they never came back to me.

to my suprise now I am handed over to some external legal service provider who is saying that I owe April monthly bill while the whole of April I did not have the phone. the invoice that is sent to me even shows that I was using the phone in April while I did not. I have all the e-mails and communication to show that indeed I submitted the phone back to Menlyn on the 24th of March 2017. the external service provider even added extra fees and made it as per the the below e-mail.

"Dear Sir/Madam,

There was usages on the account after you have cancelled the contract. If you have a look at the invoices , you will see that there were usages in April 2017 even. The outstanding balance on the account is R2 320.24 which includes legal fees and interest. The amount that you were owing to Telkom was R1200.00 but due to non-payment the account got handed over. When the account is handed over you are charged a penalty fee, legal fee and interest.

Yours faithfully,

no 2 There is a contarct that expired in June 2017 for mobile wi-fi

The contract even today it is not cancelled. Telkom is busy debiting my money and I havent used that mobile wi-fi since August 2017. I switched it off and destroyed it. I am seriously fed up with Telkom. they are ****** and busy handing over customers unfairly. I have all communication trying to cancel without any assistance from June 2017 and proof that they have been deducting my money *******. their terms and conditions says it takes 21 days to cancel but now its November 2017, which makes it 5 months.
