Telkom rips off poor people with their contracts!!

I had a contract phone with Telkom in 2013 April. It was a 24 months contract. Telkom switched off my phone on the 14 May 2015. I paid my last installment of R1550 on the 30th June. It was debited by Telkom from my account. Then in September same year I received a call from Telkom saying I owe them for 3 months which was July, August and September. I told them my contract was for 24 months and they stopped calling me. But in 2017 their lawyer called me claiming that I should pay for services and I told him I was not receiving any services from Telkom. He then told me that I had updated my banking account details with them on the 23rd February 2017 and I was shocked because the contract had expired in 2015. The lawyer told me that my number was still in use and I asked him to call it while I was still holding the line and the phone rang but it was switched off after that. Then he advised me to lodge a complaint with Telkom to investigate and I did. At Telkom they only sent me a message saying the matter has been resolved. When I went to their shop to get a letter I was told to pay R900 and I asked what was it for and I was told for services and I asked them which services they were talking about. I also asked them to check on their system the last time they rendered me their services and they confirmed that my phone was switched off in May 14 /2015. When I checked my bank statement for December 2016 /17 I found that Telkom had debited an amount over R200 from my account. So Telkom is the one who owe me. According to consumer law of 2011 no contracts can automatically continue without the client approval but at Telkom they say I was supposed to cancel the contract and yet they cancelled it themselves. The consumer law also say the service provider should notify the client 2 months before the contract end to find out if the client wishes to continue or upgrade the contract but at Telkom they said I was supposed to notify them if I want to cancel the contract. As far as I know, a contract is binding, if its 24 months it should be like that. I am disappointed with Telkom. It's a big company but it is reaping off poor people. Right now Telkom listed me on credit beareau for services I never received and I didn't even bridge my contract but they did. I need justice!!
