Telkom - *********** the public instead of honouring the closure of accounts

I cancelled my ADSL line rental with Telcom 1 year ago. I was advised that a telephonic cancellation would be sufficient. A few months later and additional monthly charges, I contacted the call centre and they advised me that I had to e-mail my cancellation. I have done so and still I continued to receive accounts and additional billings. I sent another e-mail and now I have received a letter of demand for the outstanding Telkom account.

There is no e-mail address or contact number on the letter so I cannot dispute this with the necessary departments. I have Googled the Telkom contact numbers and this is no longer available on their websites.

How do we cancel an account if all the relevant channels do not work. I feel that Telkom is taking advantage of customers who have cancelled their accounts.

This is disgusting - especially that there is no contact number or e-mail address on a formal letter of demand from the National Credit manager?

Furthermore, how can Telkom continue to charge usage when there is no evidence of usage in over 1 year.
