Telkom *********** customers

I have a landline and adsl with telkom. I upgraded my account with great difficulty from a 2mbps line to 10mbps. I was told that my area is covered for this speed line. Upon signing for this contract, I was told that if I sign a contract, I will receive a modem, as this is part of the contract. However to date, I have not received this, and the store says they are out of stock of modems. None the less, I keep doing speed tests, because the Internet is too slow for 10mbps. The most I have had was 7mbps, but on a normal day I'm lucky to get 4mbps. I have to constantly log faults for slow Internet, and at times, my faults are updated to 'resolved' despite nothing being resolved with regards to the speed. Currently, my voice and adsl is not working, of which yet again they updated my fault as resolved, and yet again I have to re open the case. I'm certain that if telkom view my account, they can see all my faults. I wish to cancel this contract on the basis of non delivery of promised speeds, as well as no modem which was a condition of the contract on signing. Please assist, I simply CANNOT deal with telkom any longer. You guys make life really stressful, unnecessary money is now spent on mobile data, not to mention all the time spent on your ridiculous call centre and app which does not work. I would like to keep my landline number, downgrade my line and then move to another service provider, because I don't think it's fair to charge customers for 10mbps and deliver far less than HALF of this. On a given month, my account is debited for the full amount, not for half, so keep up your end of the contract, and stop ripping people off, not delivering as your promise, and not providing a quality service. I'm now fed up, I don't have the time or energy to spend on arguing with call centre agents. It's almost like a game of tennis, between call centre agents vs technicians, it's about passing the ball between each other and keep blaming one another.
