Telkom ripping me off
Telkom is treating its customers unfairly. In the past 10 days I have called three times and been told three separate things by the agents. I changed my banking details in Jan and called Telkom to give them my new baking details, I also informed them that I had closed my old bank account, I was then advised they would not be able to debit my new bank account and I should go to the store, I then went to the store and they printed an invoice for me and told me to go to woolies as they do not accept payments, I then did this but to my surprise, I have incurred a reversal charge of R 202.
I believe this is unfair as I specifically mentioned that my old bank account has been closed and I took time out to go to a Telkom store and make a payment.
Furthermore, my account was not debited in Feb even after Telkom has had my banking details for over a month, I did not receive an invoice for both Feb and March, why is this case? Had I not gone into the store to ask why my account was not debited, I would never have found that I have been charged R 202, and my account would have been in arrears and i doubt Telkom would have called me.
Telkom needs to update it's archaic processes, I changed my details with my the Insurance Club, Allan Gray, and my other life policies, I did not have such an issue, I had an issue with Wesbank but they immediately reversed their charge after they saw a manual payment had been made, I did not have to go through this ridiculous process that I'm going through with you guys.
You guys really need to train your staff properly on how to resolve natters, how is it possible for three people on working for the same company ( sitting together I presume) to say different things to a client.
Another issue I have with Telkom is that when I called in initially, I was advised a dispute had been logged and I would be called within 72 hours, I was not called called in 72 hours. The other agent told me to go to the store, I had to waste my lunch hour only to be told by the store agent they would not be able to help. The last agent told me to suck it up and pay the fee ( i'm paraphrasing here).
I would please like you guys to reverse that ridiculous reversal charge, and not to put my account as overdue because you guys did not debit my account. For the March run, I am hoping everything will run smoothly and that the reversal charge would have been reversed by then.
The only reason I am giving a rating of one is because hellopeter does not allow a rating of zero. This 1 rating does not capture the level of my frustration, if it was at all possible, I would have a rating of negative 100.
