Telkom ripped me off, R500 extra on my bill for what?

During February Telkom had a R149 deal of the month promotion of a WiFi rooter (5GB+10GB), which I had app**** for online. One of their consultant called me with their 012 (Pretoria code) number to confirm and process my data.

I answered all their questions and also told them I don't want any additional data/airtime when my data runs out. I received my rooter 2/3 days later. I connected and started using my rooter knowing I will only have to pay R149 the following month..

The shock came when I received my March 2016 invoice of R649, which was R500 more than I expected. I called their help line /call center and to my surprise I was told I had a spend limit of R500 which I used up. The lady told ne that she can't do anything but to reduce the spend limit. And she gave me the 021 (Cape Town code) which is for their sales agency. I don't understand why should they refer me to an agency that I did not take a contract with. I have been search for an email to send my complaint but I couldn't find it.

I thought Telkom was a good network before I knew about the *******. Why charge us for the things that we didn't agree on? Then refer us to a 3rd party that I did not enter into a contract with?
