TELKOM-RIPOFF TELECOM PROVIDER!!

Telkom approached the estate I lived at in Shelly Beach KZN over two years ago. The Telkom representative, Scelo, the area manager came out often as Telkom was keen on signing up the entire estate. I was the chairperson at the time and so remained very close to the project. We had access to him at anytime. One of my concerns at the time, knowing I would be relocating the line in a few months, was about the process of relocation, at which time I was assured, it would be no problem to relocate the fibre optic line. I was advised that if the area I moved to had no fibre optic, Telkom would simply downgrade my line to a cheaper ADSL option. After numerous cell phone calls, WhatsApp messages to Scelo(unhelpful once the contract is signed, no integrity) numerous visits to the Musgrave Centre Telkom(most useless bunch of arrogant unhelpful uninformed consultants) two requests via the website that assured you a response within 48hours I am still sitting with NO line, paying an R800 monthly bill for which I am receiving NO service. I was then advised by a consultant ftom Cape Town to go back to Musgrave Centre, request for a downgrade in contract, following their approval, advise them to move line to new location. On visiting Musgrave Telkom, we were advised that we would have to cxl the contract, pay a penalty of R800 then request a new line. We would be reimbursed for the months we waited to have the line moved. I refuse to pay the penalty or cxl the contract without assurance of the refund. Telkom is the worst telecommunications service provider ever. Please can somebody assist me to fight these ***********, dishonest, ********* bunch who feel they have the right to completely disregard the Consumer Protection Act!
