Telkom RIPOFF AND ******* TOPUP

About 4 months ago, I requested Telkom to cancel my services and I was told that my contract would expire on October 25, 2020, so I was advised to downgrade from the 20GIG package of about R500 to a package with 10 Gig for R149 per month. Guess what? That was my BIGGEST MISTAKE, I have been paying MORE than what I paid on the bigger package. I don't even know how to top up data but every time I would receive an SMS telling me how much I have left to top up with, while I still have enough data for the month on the 10gig package. I received an email from Neo Letsipa on 22 September 2020 and I rep**** explaining my billing problem. It's been more than 3 weeks he has not rep**** yet. I am being billed unjustly and charged 4 times more than what I supposed to pay. Every month my bill runs to almost R700 but I would still have data left from the previous month. honestly, it is always a BAD experience to do business with telkom and their every department ignores customers. My question is, who is *******ly topping up data on my account which does not top me up but the ***** and I need my refund for all these months that I had to pay. also, if my contract is going to expire on 25/10/2020 why are they still allowing a 'top up'? i need a full investigation and an answer in 48 hours thereafter I will take matters further. Regards, Glenn

Reviewer Update
How pathetic! Telkom, being such an important telecommunication company that delivers an essential service has its good name and reputation ruined by individuals who react personally to customer complaints, instead of using criticism to improve their services. As for my earlier review, no one even bothered to come back to me to apologize and to offer to me help relating to the ********** activity on my account which is still continuing unabated. As a consumer, I am doing business with more than a dozen companies abroad and the level of customer services they offer is matchless in comparison to company's here. As it is, I cannot even elevate Telkom to any standard. Having said that, this company needs fresh leadership in all spheres of its organizational structure most notably the area that deals with members of the public to improve their image and services instead of being downgraded to a company that gets business because their tariffs are 'cheaper' when they actually make up for it through **********ly increasing tariffs as in my case. I sincerely hope this receives some attention from someone who cares to change Telkom's public image.
