Telkom Ripoff
I purchased a device via Telkom Mobile on a 2 year contract in 2013 and the cost was R 260 and had 5gb of data, great deal. As the contract terminated I was considering keeping the device, but the January billing arrived and the data bundle was charged at R 349 so on 7 January I completed a cancellation form as supp**** by Ronnie Ngweny of Telkom. All submitted and happy, expected a credit as I had been billed for the full month of January. Tried to put my daughter's MTN pre-paid card in the device as a birthday present on 14 January, but the device was locked.
Again tried to get the device unlocked, but no luck - was promised an unlock code from their call center, but still awaiting this. Have not used the Telkom SIM since 7 January as I was under the impression that it was cancelled.
Imaging my surprise when I received a bill for the full month of February.
Then the problems started, tried to call 180 081, no luck, sent e-mails to [Email Removed] took to Facebook also, no luck, lots of apologies and promised to contact me, but to date no communication.
Still no feedback and they will take the amount via debit order and I have no chance of getting my money back.
Service Sucks
