Telkom repairs is a ****
My sons phone cracked months ago but it continued working no problem. But then one day it did touch but could charge, ring and the display was on. I booked it for repair hoping that warranty could be app****. They call me and say its material damage, I don't qualify for warranty. But then charged more than 6 000 for repairs, that was rediculous because it's more than half of market value. Its a Huawei Nova 10.
I sent my phone there because the cheap repairers ***** our parts. I hoped my phone would be safe with Telkom repairs. At the time I thought they would maybe send it to Huawei because its their phone.
They told me first that the charging point wasn't working, camera was broken and the LCD. I explained to them that the the display was working just not the touch screen. That the camera was working just fine and the phone was charging before we sent it. I also asked if they couldn't just get it touch again but they insisted they have to repair everything.
I then requested the report they removed the charging point and camera from the report. They added two other things but the price still remained more than 6 000.
I requested my phone back and I asked them that it should be as they received it. They gave me a story of how they can't guarantee that. Now my phone doesn't charge any more. I guess it wasn't safe with them how can opening a phone up for diagnostic cause further damage that they claimed for in the first place?
