Telkom Repair Centre-refuse to recognite phone warranty
I purchased the Huawei P50 Pocket phone with high hopes, but unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory. After a short period of use, I encountered a screen malfunction issue that significantly impacted my user experience. This prompted me to request a replacement from Telkom, the service provider I purchased the phone from. To my dismay, the replacement phone I received exhibited the same screen malfunction issue as the original device. This was a clear sign that there might be a systemic issue with the Huawei P50 Pocket model. With two phones experiencing identical problems, I reached out to Telkom and requested that they facilitate the process of sending the phone to Huawei for either replacement or repair, as it was evident that this was not an isolated incident. Regrettably, Telkom's response was less than satisfactory. Their technician refused to send the phone to Huawei, opting instead to propose fixing the issue at my expense. This was incredibly disappointing, as I had already paid for a device that I was unable to use due to the recurring screen malfunction problem. I initiated a case with Telkom, and the reference number is TRJ ***, with the booking date being July 31, 2023. Despite providing evidence of the ongoing screen issue and my request for a Huawei inspection, Telkom has not been cooperative in addressing this matter to my satisfaction. I find it frustrating and unjust that I should bear the cost for fixing a recurring issue on a device that is still under warranty and experiencing the same problem twice. As a consumer, I expected better support and service from both Huawei and Telkom. This experience has left me dissatisfied and inconvenienced, and I hope that my concerns will be addressed promptly to reach a fair resolution.
