Telkom renegade on internet special

During January Telkom advertised a special deal for a 40 meg line and one 1TB data plus other extras.

I app**** online and received a letter stating " Unfortunately your application has been declined during our initial pre-vetting stage." This did not made sense at all and I left it at that.

Later on I were contacted and were told the letter was an error and that we can go ahead.

As I was with Mweb I needed to terminate their service . I was under the wrong impression that I could terminate the service of Mweb as at the end of Jan 2018, and arranged with Telkom to do the installation then on the 1st Feb 2018. I then terminated the services of Mweb online

Mweb then contacted me and told me that I need to give one calendar month notice and that the service would be terminated then on the 28th Feb 2018. I contacted Telkom and informed them - Telkom agreed then to do the installation beginning March2018 .

The person still mentioned that we could be without internet for a couple of days as they could not guarantee installation on the 1st. I told them that its not a problem as I can continue to use my modem in the meantime and when the equipment arrive I can do the installation myselves.

Today I phoned to confirm that I can swith over to Telkom . Much to my surprise I was told that I now don't qualify anymore for the special January Deal.

The point is I signed up in January 2018 and arrangements were made that Telkom accepted.
