Telkom Refuses to cancel service

We have been trying to cancel the AnyTime call package on our landline for over 4 months. Been in to Telkom Direct stores 3 times; First time they said we needed to give a months notice, so we did, amonth later we go back and fill in the cancellation form upon which we are assured that it will be cancelled and no longer billed; next onth the debit order continues and we contact the call centre, assured that it is now cancelled we log a dispute for the funds debited after cancellation. This month again the full amount is debited.

We have a different ISP and have our data line rental throuhg them as well. Due to the other ISP they claim we cannot cancel our Anytime call package and keep the line rental. The landline has not been used for calls for almost a year and yet we must keep paying for it?!

Today we were informed that cancellations cannot be done through the call centre but that a cancellation request must be sent and then an agent will call back to cancell. 3 cancellation requests have been sent in over 4 months and no calls back. How long are we expected to pay for a service that we cannot use and don't want!!!
