Telkom refused to take my phone for repairs

My contract phone just stopped charging i went to Telkom lakeside mall they refused to take my phone for repairs they said they are still updating the system for cellphone repairs for a week!!!!!!????They didn't even bother to take my contact number in order to phone me to bring the phone . I will never take a contract phone from Telkom their service is very bad .What should i do with the phone because it has insurance .
