Telkom Refuse to Replace Faulty Rooter
So frustrated with Telkom. We upgraded to Telkom fibre in August ‘17, but have been facing constant challenges with intermittent speed and at times no internet at all. It’s been particularly bad over the last 2 weeks so I reported the fault (again) and today they sent a technician out. He ran various tests and found that the D-Link rooter (still under guarantee) was faulty and has to be replaced.
My son then took the rooter to Telkom Direct Woodlands store, where, to our surprise, they refused to replace it! For some reason the in-shop technician didn’t agree with the call-out technician’s findings and said the best they can do for us is to book the rooter in, which will take 2-3 WEEKS!
I gave them their technician’s no and asked them to varify the issue with him, so the in-shop technician called him and then jumped on the poor guys head for telling us the faulty rooter has to be replaced!
How does Telkom expect me to run a business without any internet? Is this the kind of support and service one gets in return for doing business with Telkom? No wonder so many new service providers are popping up everywhere - Telkom doesn’t have a clue what it takes to do business in this day and age.
